Script Writers

Here are the amazing writers of the scripts being used for this Open Call.  Take a moment to get to know these creative people.

Warren Fast

Warren Fast became a professional screenwriter with the option of his feature horror script "Russet Haven" to Brandylan Productions in 2006. He then went on to option and sell several other short and feature screenplays many of which were produced including, "The Ride" (2011), "Believe" (2013), and "Harmony" (2014) starring Chris Kerson (True Detective, Gotti). Since 2013, Warren has also been awarded various acting roles in multiple projects. He debuted in the role of Gus in the action-comedy, "Deathguard" which went on to win Best Picture at the Miami Short Film Festival. Another notable role was the lead of Jonas in the sci-fi thriller "Displacement".

Warren's first work as a director was on the short drama film, "Trooper Evans" (2014) which he also wrote. Though the film was produced locally in Panama City, Florida, for no money and with barely any other resources, it was very well received. In 2019, Warren wrote, directed and produced his first feature, also filmed entirely in Panama City, Florida; an inspirational, family drama entitled, "Finding Grace", featuring industry names, Erin Gray (Buck Rogers in the 25th Century), David Keith (Officer and a Gentleman) and Bo Svenson (Kill Bill Vol. 2). The film was nominated for "Best Picture" at the Int'l Christain Film Festival and picked up for distribution by Vision Films ("Planetarium" starring Natalie Portman/Lily-Rose Depp, "The Outcasts" starring Victoria Justice/Peyton List), released in 2020.

Warren is in development on his next feature project and continues work on original scripts.

Matt Roland

Bestselling author Matt Roland self-published his first awarding-winning novel at the age of 13.  That line has a great ring to it but it is complete and utter rubbish, not a word true. Matt is, however, a professional tattoo artist and piercer practicing his art in Augusta, Georgia since 1995. Quite the dabbler, Matt has also tried his hand at acting, writing, painting, landscaping, horticulture, herpetology, graphic design, automotive restoration and just about anything else that provided the proper balance between frustration and joy. Life is all about challenge and if you would like to follow along while Matt willingly tests his stress levels, feel free to click the appropriate links.
